01. I AM/WE'RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. WILL YOU HELP DIRECT?
Of course! I have lots of directional prompts up my sleeve for us to use, laugh through & have fun with. There’s never any expectation on clients to have any sort of model experience. It’s all about using a little direction to bring out and encourage those authentic moments. Not to worry, you’re in good hands.
2. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I would describe my style as candid, laidback, & non-traditional with an artistic flare. Never super posey and stiff. I aways strive to have my images look different & real. Like something you’d see out of a magazine that tells a story. Something you’ll look back on for years to come and think wow that’s a timeless image. I remember that time in my / our life just as it was.

03. Where will we do our session location wise?
It really depends on what look you’re going for and what type of session you're doing! Most sessions can be done either indoors (eg. cozy in-home session, maternity/newborn sessions can be done in the nursery) or outdoors. Typically I recommend doing outdoors for larger families. I have lots of location recommendations to give some thought.

04. Do you have a private property you offer clients to use for photos?
Yes! My private family cottage property located in the Ottawa valley has 180 acres of space for us to use! I love offering up this location for photos as it is incredibly beautiful, is waterfront, has lots of fields, greenery and best of all private and exclusive to my clients.
Sometimes I find it distracting going to a park for photos when there’s a million other people looking and watching us. That can get awkward real quick. So definitely let me know if this is a location you’re interested in using!

I always recommend wearing a neutral colour palette & whatever you feel most comfortable in!

09. When should we schedule our session in?
As soon as you think of it, reach out & see if we can find a time that works best. Typically bookings come in 2-3 months prior. It all depends.

10. How will we receive our photos?
You will receive your photos through my online gallery delivery service. When your gallery is ready, you will receive an email with a link to your photos. From there you can download them, send them to print etc.

11. What happens if it rains?
Well, it’s never nice to do a session in the rain. If it does, we will simply reschedule to a better date.

Typically expecting mamas schedule their session in around 30 weeks pregnant. Or whenever you feel most comfortable.
